Crypto BD territory plan: 4 steps to split 252 accounts

252 Crypto BD territories funded crypto accounts on NAUT, split into 4 sector territories in 4 steps. Logos: Kalshi, Polymarket, Strive, Together AI, Tazapay, Alpaca, Securitize, GMI Cloud.

A crypto BD territory plan splits funded accounts by sector first, then uses the HQ region as a time-zone overlay on top. NAUT tracks 252 crypto and Web3 companies that closed a funding round announced since 1 July 2026, across 266 rounds and $25,300,445,000 of disclosed amounts, read on 9 November 2026, and the 92 of them that carry a sector tag fall into 4 territories: 34 DeFi and trading venues, 26 infrastructure and chains, 17 AI, data and consumer accounts and 15 payments, stablecoin and RWA accounts.

Data note

  • Source: NAUT's own database of crypto companies and funding rounds, read on 9 November 2026. Scope: live, publishable company rows typed as a project, with at least 1 round announced on or after 1 July 2026. That is 252 companies, 266 round records and $25,300,445,000 across the records that disclose an amount.
  • The total covers every record type NAUT stores for those companies, so it mixes venture rounds with M&A, IPO, post-IPO, PIPE and debt records. The single largest record in the window is a $7,000,000,000 M&A row, so an amount-only sort does not rank venture cheques.
  • 8 of the 252 accounts had their latest round put to an outside report: 6 came back confirmed and 2 contradicted. The other 244 accounts were never read outside NAUT, so every sector tag, region tag, amount and contact below is NAUT's stored record unless a source is named.
  • The 2 contradicted checks are left out of the claims here. Kalshi's stored lead for its Series G is not printed, because a report dated 29 October 2026 names a second firm co-leading alongside it. Securitize's stored $225,000,000 stays in the table as NAUT's record, with 1 caveat: a report dated 2 July 2026 describes that figure as the PIPE component of a larger listing rather than the whole raise.
  • Elliptic and Polymath each hold a dated 2026 record with a null amount, which is an undisclosed amount and never $0.
  • NAUT's data note on this pull also flags roughly 25 of the 185 contact rows as holding an X handle in the name field instead of a person's name. Those rows are counted here and left unnamed.

How do you build a crypto BD territory plan in 4 steps?

Pull the funded accounts, tag the sector yourself where NAUT holds no tag, cut the list into 4 sector territories, then give each territory an owner and a named first contact. The counts below come from the same 9 November 2026 read.

4 steps to a crypto BD territory plan
  1. Pull the window252 funded accounts and 266 rounds on NAUT, announced since 1 July 2026.
  2. Tag the sectorNAUT tags 92 of the 252, so the other 160 need a tag from their own description.
  3. Cut 4 territories34 DeFi and venues, 26 infrastructure, 17 AI and data, 15 payments and RWA.
  4. Assign and open185 of the 252 carry a decision maker, 131 of those with a person page.

Step 1: pull every account that raised since 1 July 2026

The window is the qualifier. A company that closed a round in the last 4 months has budget, a hiring plan and a reason to answer, which is why a sales territory plan starts from the funding feed rather than a tag browse. NAUT's window holds 252 companies and 266 records, so 14 accounts carry 2 records in the same window.

The table below is 19 of those 252 accounts, the ones used as worked examples through this playbook, ranked by the disclosed amount on NAUT's record, largest first. The sector and region tags each of them carries are the subject of steps 2 and 3.

4 of the 19 records above have a lead investor on NAUT's record that an outside report also names: 1789 Capital on Polymarket's 31 August 2026 round, New Enterprise Associates on Spiko's Series B, Blockchain Capital on PhotonPay's Series C and Robot Ventures on Nous Research's Series B. Kalshi's Series G is a 5th row with a lead on NAUT's record, withheld here because of the co-lead correction in the data note. The remaining 14 carry no lead on NAUT's record for the window, which says nothing about whether a lead was named publicly.

How much did the largest crypto BD accounts raise?

Disclosed on NAUT's record, the 8 largest of the 19 worked accounts
  1. Kalshi$1000M
  2. Polymarket$1000M
  3. Strive$838M
  4. Together AI$800M
  5. Tazapay$400M
  6. Alpaca$300M
  7. Securitize$225M
  8. GMI Cloud$223M

The top of the list is where a territory plan goes wrong if nobody reads the record type. Strive's $838,000,000 is 2 post-IPO records and Forward Industries's $25,000,000 is a post-IPO record, so both are listed companies rather than a startup with a fresh venture cheque. Alpaca's $300,000,000 is debt financing, and Tazapay and Polymath are M&A records, where the buyer sets the budget from here. Sort by amount alone and those 5 accounts, the ones with the least room to buy, land high on a rep's list.

Step 2: tag the sector yourself, because NAUT tags 92 of 252

Sector tags cover 92 of the 252 accounts, so 160 carry no sector tag at all. Those 160 are not small: the 92 tagged accounts hold $8,384,750,000 of the window's disclosed total, which leaves $16,915,695,000 with the 160 untagged rows. Together AI at $800,000,000, GMI Cloud at $223,000,000, Strive at $838,000,000 and Polymath all sit in that untagged group.

So the second step is a read, not a filter. Open each untagged row, read the company's own description on its NAUT page, and write a sector into your own sheet. Treat the stored tag as a lead and check it the same way: the Funds tag on hivemindcap marks a row a BD lead should move to the investor list rather than the prospect list.

The 33 distinct sector tags on the 92 tagged accounts come to 135 tag hits, so a tagged account carries 1.5 tags on average. Group the tags into 4 territories and the hits divide like this:

  • DeFi and trading venues, from the tags DeFi, DEX, CEX, Money Market, Prediction Market, GambleFi, Funds, Store of Value and DAT: 43 tag hits, 34 accounts by first tag, 27 of them with a person page.
  • Infrastructure and chains, from Infrastructure, L1/2/3, DePIN, Wallet, Privacy, Security and Custody: 42 tag hits, 26 accounts, 19 with a person page.
  • AI, data and consumer, from AI, Intelligence, Tools, data, SocialFi, Media, Gaming, IP and consumer: 26 tag hits, 17 accounts, 13 with a person page.
  • Payments, stablecoins and RWA, from Payment, Stablecoins, RWA, Tokenized Stocks, Neobank, Compliance and Insurance: 24 tag hits, 15 accounts, 11 with a person page.

The 4 "accounts by first tag" counts add to 92, the full tagged set, because each account is assigned to the territory of its first sector tag. Count membership by any tag instead and the same 92 accounts produce 109 memberships, so 17 of them carry tags in 2 or more territories. Securitize is one: Infrastructure puts it in the infrastructure territory while RWA and Tokenized Stocks pull it to payments and RWA. Nous Research is another, with DePIN and Infrastructure on one side and AI on the other. Pick the tie-break rule before the assignment meeting, write it down, and apply it to all 17.

Step 3: use the HQ region as an overlay, not the first cut

Region tags cover 16 of the 252 accounts and country tags cover 20, so 236 accounts have no region on NAUT's record and 232 have no country. A region-first split would hand 94% of the list to a territory called "unknown".

Region Accounts Countries Example
North America 9 United States 8, Canada 1
Europe 3 United Kingdom 2, France 1
Asia 3 Singapore 2, Hong Kong 1
Middle East 1 United Arab Emirates 1

Across the full 252 the country tags are United States 10, United Kingdom 3, Singapore 2, and 1 each for the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Canada, France and Brazil. 4 accounts carry a country tag with no region tag, which is why the country total runs 4 ahead of the region total.

Use those 20 rows as a working-hours overlay on the sector territories. dtcpay and Tazapay in Singapore, PhotonPay in Hong Kong and ADI in the United Arab Emirates sit in Asia and Gulf hours, so they belong with a rep whose morning matches. Spiko in France, Noah and Elliptic in the United Kingdom run on European hours. Of the 16 region-tagged accounts, 15 also carry a sector tag, and Polymath is the 1 that carries a region with no sector tag.

Step 4: give each territory an owner, a named contact and a first touch

185 of the 252 accounts carry a decision maker on NAUT's record and 131 of those carry a person page, so a rep opening a territory has a name to aim at on roughly half the list. 67 accounts carry no decision maker at all, which is where a researcher earns their keep before the rep calls.

The 9 named contacts below are the ones on the worked accounts, with the title NAUT holds today:

Anyone listed can ask NAUT to remove their page at https://naut.so/legal/data-deletion.

Each person page says which channels NAUT holds for that contact. Load the 4 territories as 4 lists with the owner's name on each, the round type and date as the opening line, and 1 touch per account per week. On the 67 accounts with no contact on file, a rep's first job is to find one rather than to send anything.

What does this crypto BD territory plan tell a founder raising?

A founder is on the other side of this sheet. If your row carries no sector tag, every BD team and every investor running a sector screen skips you, whatever you raised: 160 of the 252 funded accounts in this window are in that position.

What a founder can read off the same data
  1. Find your territory34 of the 92 tagged accounts sit in DeFi and trading venues, the largest of the 4.
  2. Check your tags160 of the 252 funded accounts carry no sector tag, so a sector screen misses them.
  3. Check your contact67 of the 252 carry no decision maker, so an inbound note has nobody to land on.

An investor sourcing in the same window reads it the other way. The 4 territories are a map of where 2026 money went: $5,879,000,000 of disclosed amounts behind the 34 DeFi and trading venue accounts, $1,365,300,000 behind the 26 infrastructure accounts, $777,950,000 behind the 15 payments and RWA accounts and $362,500,000 behind the 17 AI, data and consumer accounts.

Can you pull this data through the NAUT API?

NAUT's data here was read from its database, and the same rows are available over its API: a territory list of payments accounts comes back from GET https://api.naut.so/v1/projects?sector=Payment&limit=100 with an Authorization: Bearer $NAUT_KEY header, and sector is repeatable, so a DeFi and venues territory is 1 call with several sector values. A single account's team, which is where the decision maker sits, comes back from GET https://api.naut.so/v1/projects/photonpay. Each data or search call costs 5 credits, and the Essential plan at $49 a month carries 3,000 credits, so a 4-territory refresh is small change against it (docs, pricing). Crypto BD territory plan FAQ

How do I split crypto BD accounts across a sales team?

Split by sector first and treat the region as a working-hours overlay. On NAUT's 9 November 2026 read of the 252 crypto companies funded since 1 July 2026, sector tags cover 92 accounts and region tags cover only 16, so a sector cut gives 4 territories of 34, 26, 17 and 15 accounts while a region cut leaves 236 accounts unplaced.

How many crypto BD accounts has NAUT tracked since 1 July 2026?

252 live crypto and Web3 company rows closed at least 1 funding record announced on or after 1 July 2026, across 266 records and $25,300,445,000 of disclosed amounts, read on 9 November 2026. 14 of the 252 carry 2 records inside that window.

Which funded crypto accounts sit outside North America?

Of the 16 accounts with an HQ region tag on NAUT, 7 sit outside North America: Tazapay and dtcpay in Singapore, PhotonPay in Hong Kong, ADI in the United Arab Emirates, Spiko in France, and Noah and Elliptic in the United Kingdom.

Where can I find the decision makers at these crypto BD accounts?

On NAUT. 185 of the 252 funded accounts carry a decision maker on NAUT's record and 131 of those carry a person page, reachable from each company page or from GET https://api.naut.so/v1/projects/<slug>, which returns the company with its team. Verified Telegram, email and LinkedIn for those people unlock on any paid NAUT plan, so start a 7-day trial if your crypto BD team needs the channel and not only the name.

Why does a sales territory plan need the round type as well as the amount?

Because some of the biggest amounts in this window are not venture rounds at all. Strive's $838,000,000 and Forward Industries's $25,000,000 are post-IPO records, Alpaca's $300,000,000 is debt financing, and Tazapay's $400,000,000 is an M&A record, so an amount-only ranking puts accounts with no fresh budget high on a rep's list.
