United States crypto companies: 255 on NAUT in 36 sectors

255 US crypto companies company rows tagged United States on NAUT, read on 7 November 2026. Logos: Algorand, Stellar, Robinhood, Anchorage Digital, Kalshi, Helium, QuickNode, Securitize, Figure, Aleo, CoinDesk, EigenCloud, Bitwise, io.net, Mythical Games, Blast.

NAUT tracks 255 United States crypto companies that build a product, read from its database on 7 November 2026, and each one carries a sector tag, a page and a team list on naut.so. They spread across 36 sector tags, led by Infrastructure with 60 rows, AI with 47, DeFi with 33, then L1/2/3 and Tools with 26 each.

How this list was built

NAUT holds 840 company rows with the country field set to United States. 504 of them are typed as investor firms and are not in this list, which is about operating companies; 3 are typed as a platform and 2 as a service provider. That leaves 331 rows typed as a project, and 63 of those carry no product description longer than 15 characters, which leaves a shortlist of 268.

Reading each of the 268 rows against its own description removed 13 more. 5 describe a business in another industry: a craft brewing company, a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company, a medical devices corporation, a design and development company and an esports and gaming company. 7 describe a token, a coin or an NFT collection rather than a company. 1 row, NEWITY, carries a 2-word description that names no product. The 255 rows that survive are this list, and every count below is recomputed from them.

A sector tag can repeat per company: 109 of the 255 rows carry more than 1 tag, so the sector counts add up past 255. 7 of the 255 carry no sector tag and sit under Uncategorised below. Separately, 5 of the 268 shortlisted rows were put to public sources on 7 November 2026, and 3 of those came back with a source NAUT could read; the other 250 published rows were not put to an outside source, so their descriptions are NAUT's stored record of what each company does.

What 5 rows looked like against an outside source

5 of the 268 shortlisted rows had their description and United States base put to public sources on 7 November 2026. 3 returned a page NAUT could read and quote or cite.

  • Aleo: a Blockworks research overview calls it "a privacy-focused Layer-1 blockchain designed to enhance scalability and security through zero-knowledge proofs", which matches the NAUT row.
  • Ava Protocol: its Dealroom profile describes "private, autonomous transactions within the Web3 ecosystem", and the NAUT row reads private autonomous super-transactions for Ethereum.
  • Beamable: The Block reported a $13.5M Series A led by Bitkraft Ventures, with Polygon Ventures, Arca and others joining. NAUT's fetch did not return that page's text, so nothing here is quoted from it.

The other 2 rows checked, Algorand and Anchorage Digital, came back as matches in the researcher's note, but the wording that was supposed to prove it was not found on the page that was fetched, so no claim is made from them here. Both stay in the list on NAUT's own description.

What this tells a BD team

  • Sell infrastructure, compute or compliance and the addressable set in the United States is 60 Infrastructure rows plus 47 AI rows, every one with a NAUT page and team list.
  • 109 of the 255 rows carry more than 1 sector tag, so a single company is often 2 pitches: Zebec Protocol is tagged DeFi, RWA, Payment, DePIN and Infrastructure at once.
  • The small tags are the fast lane. 1 row each for GambleFi (Versus-X), Insurance (Otonomi) and Store of Value (DDC) means a category owner you can reach today.
  • Regulated counterparties sit in their own corner: Kalshi is CFTC-approved, Metal Blockchain is built for BSA compliance, Prometheum and Superstate carry the Tokenized Stocks tag.
How a BD team works the 255 rows
  1. Pick the tagStart with Infrastructure at 60 rows or AI at 47, the 2 biggest of the 36 tags.
  2. Read the rowEach company page carries the description quoted above and its other sector tags.
  3. Find the ownerThe same page lists the team NAUT holds, with role titles.
  4. Unlock the channelTelegram, email and LinkedIn open on any paid plan, so an intro goes out the same day.

What this tells a founder raising in the United States

  • 504 of the 840 United States company rows on NAUT are investor firms, so the funder side of this market is larger on NAUT's record than the builder side. Those firms back crypto companies in the United States and elsewhere, and each one carries its own NAUT page.
  • Position against the tag you want to be found under: Infrastructure at 60 rows is crowded, Privacy at 16 and Compliance at 5 are not.
  • Comparable teams are 1 click away. A privacy founder can read Succinct, SeismicSys, Aleo and Phala in a sitting.

How to reach the decision makers

Can you pull this data through the NAUT API?

Yes. The call behind this article is GET https://api.naut.so/v1/projects?sector=Infrastructure&limit=100, repeated per sector tag, and a single company with its team comes back from GET https://api.naut.so/v1/projects/anchorage-digital; every call is a GET with an Authorization: Bearer $NAUT_KEY header and costs 5 credits. Keys are documented at naut.so/docs/api and plans start at $49 a month for 3,000 credits on naut.so/pricing, with a free trial that grants credits.
