Moving to api.naut.so
The developer API's address is https://api.naut.so. The old address, https://api.compass.mesa.so, retired on 2 November 2026: every /v1 call there now answers 410 Gone. Change the base URL and keep your key.
What to change
Change the base URL. That is the whole change.
# Before
curl "https://api.compass.mesa.so/v1/me" -H "Authorization: Bearer $NAUT_API_KEY"
# After
curl "https://api.naut.so/v1/me" -H "Authorization: Bearer $NAUT_API_KEY"
- Your key is the same. The
ck_live_key you used on the old host works on api.naut.so. You do not need a new one. - Paths, prices, data and credits are the same. Only the host changes. Inside responses,
baseUrlnameshttps://api.naut.so, anddocsandupgradeUrlpoint to naut.so.
Retired 2 November 2026.
What the old host answers
Since 2 November 2026, every /v1 call to the old host, and every /account call made with an API key, answers 410 Gone:
{
"error": {
"code": "HOST_RETIRED",
"message": "This API host has moved. Send the same request to https://api.naut.so.",
"baseUrl": "https://api.naut.so",
"docs": "https://compass.mesa.so/docs/api/migration"
}
}
It also sends these headers:
| Header | Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
Deprecation |
@1793577600 |
When the old host was deprecated, as a Unix time (RFC 9745). |
Sunset |
Mon, 02 Nov 2026 00:00:00 GMT |
When it stopped answering API calls (RFC 8594). |
Link |
<https://api.naut.so/v1>; rel="successor-version" |
Where to go instead. It also links this page as rel="deprecation" and rel="sunset". |
- It is a
410, never a redirect. Your client will not follow it on its own. ReadbaseUrl, update your config, and send the same request again. - The
Linkheader names the new host too, for a client that reads headers rather than the body. - Nothing is charged for a
410.
New code should read NAUT-API-Version; Compass-API-Version is still sent with the same value.
What does not move
Only the developer API host changed. Old compass.mesa.so links to the website redirect to naut.so.
